The name is directly derived from the metaphor of “sticking out like a sore thumb”. With a twist of using the word BOLD (Ctrl+B), we remove the possibility of imagining pain when saying our name, but rather, imagine a really outstanding collection of letters put together to communicate a positive and effective outcome.
